The Veggie U curriculum was provided to three participating school districts in Meigs County by the Meigs County Health Department CFHS Program in 2013-14, 2014-15, and 2015-16.
Funded by the Ohio Department of Health’s Division of Child and Family Health Services (CFHS), the Meigs County Health Department focuses on preventing childhood obesity by promoting good nutrition and physical activity in elementary age children. The program works with area schools to implement the Veggie U program, and supports other activities that encourage children to make healthy choices regarding nutrition and physical activity.
