Solid Waste and Recycling

Solid Waste
The Solid Waste Program minimizes solid, infectious and hazardous waste in the community. It is also responsible for regulating and enforcing disposal of waste into approved facilities, including landfills and incinerators. The program is approved by the Ohio EPA and is partnered with the Gallia, Meigs, Vinton, and Jackson Solid Waste District Agency. The program is responsible to maintain a waste hauler truck registration for the county.

The following are the licensed and inspected facilities in Meigs County:

  • Karrten Enterprises Construction and Demolition Debris Landfill
  • Meigs County Transfer Station
