Meigs County Health Department (An Equal Opportunity Employer) seeks a part-time WIC Clerk. This grant-funded position works 28 hours per week (Monday-Thursday 8AM-12PM and 1-4PM). Starting pay is $15.55 per hour and the position includes fringe benefits except for healthcare-related insurances. (Call 740-992-0392 or email the WIC Director for benefit details.) High school diploma or equivalent required. Associates Degree preferred. Ideal candidate will have WIC experience and/or have been a WIC participant in addition to experience and skills noted in job description. A bachelor degree in environmental health science or in the physical, natural, or biological sciences with at least forty-five quarter units or thirty semester units of approved science courses. Ability to obtain Specialist-In-Training status within 30 days of hire. Current valid Ohio driver’s license, access to a motor vehicle, and valid auto insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
A current Ohio license as a Registered Environmental Health Specialist or Specialist-In-Training and/or a master’s degree in Environmental Health, Public Health, or related field.
